How much does DepotDash charge?
DepotDash charges no service fee on pickups with a deposit value over $10. Pickups under $10 incur a 20% fee. A 5-bag minimum applies.
How is this different from SkipTheDepot?
SkipTheDepot charges up to 30% on every pickup. DepotDash charges 0% on pickups over $10. We're also locally owned in Edmonton; their HQ is in Calgary.
Is there really a $0 service fee?
Yes. On pickups where the gross deposit value exceeds $10, we charge nothing. Smaller pickups under $10 carry a 20% fee.
Where in Edmonton do you pick up?
Edmonton plus Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Leduc, Beaumont, Fort Saskatchewan, Devon, and Nisku.
How fast is the refund?
Most refunds are sent by Interac e-Transfer within 48 hours of pickup.
Do I need to be home for the pickup?
No. Just leave your bagged bottles outside in a secure spot before your pickup window starts.
Do I have to sort the bottles?
No. Put everything in bags. We sort at our facility.
What containers do you accept?
Any Alberta-deposit container: cans, bottles, Tetra Paks, milk jugs, wine, liquor, juice boxes, bag-in-box wine.
Are milk jugs refundable?
Yes. Alberta extended its deposit system to milk and plant-based dairy.
What about Tetra Paks and juice boxes?
Yes — refundable. Include them in your bag.
Is there a minimum?
Yes — five bags per pickup. It keeps routes dense enough to keep pickups free.
Is there a maximum?
Not really. We've done 40+ bag pickups after parties, weddings, renovations.
How do I get my money?
Interac e-Transfer to the email on your account.
Can I donate my refund to charity?
Yes — choose a local Edmonton charity at checkout. Tax receipt issued by the charity.
Do you do commercial pickup?
Yes — offices, restaurants, bars, hotels. Get a quote on the commercial page.
Do you pick up from condos and apartments?
Yes — building-wide programs. Talk to your property manager.
How do bottle drives work?
We give your school/team/charity a unique fundraiser link. Supporters book through it. We deposit the total at drive end.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, free of charge until midnight the night before pickup.
What if the driver can't find my bags?
The driver will text or call the phone on your booking.
Can I set recurring pickups?
Yes — weekly, biweekly, monthly, any cadence. Same $0 fee on pickups over $10.
Do you have an app?
Yes — free on the App Store. No smartphone? Message us and we'll book your pickup manually.
How do I become a partner charity?
