DepotDash ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DepotDash mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app and services.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and home address. Your address is required so our drivers can pick up your containers at your location.
When you book a pickup, we collect pickup details including date, time preference, number of bags, bag location, and any special instructions you provide.
When you request a payout, we process your Interac e-Transfer using the email address associated with your account. We do not store banking or financial account details.
We collect usage data such as app interactions, pickup history, container counts, and payout records to operate and improve our service.
We use your information to provide our bottle pickup service, including scheduling pickups, routing drivers to your address, processing container counts, calculating refunds, and sending payouts via Interac e-Transfer.
We also use your information to send pickup confirmations, status updates, and payout notifications via email or SMS. We may use your email to send service announcements.
We calculate and display your environmental impact (containers recycled, CO2 prevented, water saved) based on your pickup history.
We share your address and pickup details with our drivers so they can complete your pickup. Drivers can see your name, address, bag location, and special instructions for active pickups only.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of DepotDash, our users, or the public.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission and secure token-based authentication for your account.
Our app uses the following third-party services that may collect information:
Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for account authentication. Google Maps for address autocomplete and driver routing. Interac e-Transfer for payout processing. Expo and React Native for app infrastructure.
Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy.
If you choose to donate your refund to a charity through our app, we share only the donation amount with the selected charity. We do not share your personal details with charities unless you explicitly opt in.
We retain your account information and pickup history for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. You can update your profile directly in the app or contact us to request data deletion.
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of DepotDash after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
